Braun Strowman added to WWE Title match at WrestleMania Backlash

Bobby Lashley is now defending the WWE Championship in a Triple-Threat at WrestleMania Backlash against Strowman and McIntyre

Closing the 4/26 episode of Raw was Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre in a singles match. The stipulation was that if Strowman won, he would be added to McIntyre and Bobby Lashley’s WWE Championship match at WrestleMania Backlash on May 16th.

Strowman was victorious after MVP and Bobby Lashley interfered and tried to prevent the match from becoming a three-way.

Earlier in the show, MVP made mention that the last time Lashley was in a Triple-Threat, he lost the United States Title which was at Elimination Chamber.

Strowman and Lashley teamed up at the beginning of Raw and they lost to MACE and T-BAR via count out. This was the second week in a row that McIntyre lost a match to T-BAR and MACE.

With the addition of the WWE Title match at WrestleMania Backlash being a three-way, here’s the updated card:

  • SmackDown Women’s Championship: Bianca Belair (c) vs. Bayley
  • WWE Championship — Triple-Threat Match: Bobby Lashley (c) (w/ MVP) vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Braun Strowman
