On MLW’s weekly FUSION program, for weeks it was promoted that there was a leader/El Jefe of Azteca Underground. At the conclusion of the 5/5 FUSION, El Jefe was revealed to be Luis Fernandez-Gil, who played the roles of Dario and Antonio Cueto on Lucha Underground.
Cueto was sitting at a desk with another individual as they held Salina de la Renta hostage. While Cueto was on the phone, he stated that he will be seeing someone on July 10th which is the date of MLW’s return in front of live fans. According to PWInsider, Fernandez-Gil is signed with Major League Wrestling. The site added that it is a long-term deal and when the segment was shot, only a select few people in the organization knew about it.
Salina de la Renta has opted not to re-sign with MLW and has finished up with the organization. She was the first Latina to be an executive producer for a pro wrestling show on American national television. She was also the first female analyst to be on MLW FUSION’s Spanish announce team.

Fernandez-Gil was last a part of a wrestling show in 2018 on Lucha Underground. That final season of Lucha Underground featured the on-screen debut of Wade Barrett, who told POST Wrestling that the idea was for him to lead a group in the following season.
