New Japan Strong has outlined the main events for the month of May including the first defense of the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship by Tom Lawlor.

Lawlor, who defeated Brody King in the finals of the tournament to become the first champion, will defend the title on the May 28th edition of NJPW Strong against Chris Dickinson. Lawlor was challenged by Dickinson inside the ring after his win against King.

Tonight’s episode sees the return of Jon Moxley for a tag match as the IWGP United States Champion teams with Chris Dickinson to face Yuji Nagata & Ren Narita. The tag match serves as a prelude for Moxley and Nagata’s title match next Wednesday on AEW Dynamite. Tonight’s show will also feature Jordan Clearwater vs. Royce Isaacs vs. Misterioso, and a tag match involving The DKC & Kevin Knight against Barrett Brown & Adrian Quest.

The May 14th edition of NJPW Strong will be headlined by a Special Elimination Match with Tom Lawlor, Chris Dickinson, JR Kratos & Danny Limelight facing off with Brody King, Karl Fredericks, Clark Connors & TJP.

The May 21st episode features a No Disqualification Match between Fred Rosser and Hikuleo.

NJPW Strong airs Friday nights at 10 pm ET on New Japan World.
