The father and son duo of Rey and Dominik Mysterio became SmackDown Tag Team Champions at WWE’s WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view.
Their match was the second on the card and prior to the match taking place, the former champions Robert Roode and Dolph Zigler ambushed Dominik Mysterio. Rey started off the match solo and Dominik eventually came down to the ring to assist his father. The conclusion of the match saw Dominik hit a Frog Splash onto Robert Roode to win the tag titles.

Roode and Ziggler first won the titles in January and after five months as champions, their reign came to an end. The Mysterios are the first father and son duo to win tag team titles in WWE.
