This past Sunday’s WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view featured a Lumberjack match between Damian Priest and The Miz. The lumberjacks for the bout were zombies and that was done to promote the ‘Army of the Dead’ film starring Dave Bautista who also did the intro for WrestleMania Backlash.

During Miz and Priest’s match, Miz suffered a knee injury. Priest scored the win over Miz and the former WWE Champion was not present on the 5/17 episode of Raw. On today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that Miz suffered a tear in his ACL. It is unknown if the tear is a full or partial one.

Following Miz’s loss to Priest at WrestleMania Backlash, the zombies climbed in the ring and crowded Miz to where he was out of camera’s view.

John Morrison was in action on Raw and he fell in defeat to Damian Priest in a Lumberjack match but WWE roster members were at ringside for this bout. The season finale of Miz & Mrs. aired on USA Network after the show.

This past February, Miz cashed in Money In The Bank to become WWE Champion. After losing the title, he and Morrison got back into a feud with Damian Priest and Bad Bunny that culminated at WrestleMania 37.
