The ongoing State of Emergency in certain areas of Japan has led to numerous companies and promotions making adjustments to their card or postponing shows due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Big Japan Pro Wrestling, which is known for focusing in on the deathmatch style of wrestling has cancelled their next five events.
Their shows on June 5th, 6th, 10th, 12th and the 13th have been cancelled to prevent to spread of the virus. It is noted on the Big Japan website that they are currently working on rescheduling events.
Yuki Ishikawa, who is a part of Big Japan, tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently receiving medical treatment at his home. Ishikawa last wrestled at BJPW’s 5/22 show against Daichi Hashimoto.
