During the second hour of IMPACT Wrestling’s weekly program on AXS TV, a vignette aired to promote the arrival of Steve Maclin, the former Steve Cutler who spent time in WWE as a member of The Forgotten Sons.
Maclin was released from his WWE contract in early February. In the months following his departure, he has done a number of media appearances and detailed his experience[s] in the sports-entertainment company. Maclin joined the WWE in 2014. He began to regularly appear on NXT as a part of The Forgotten Sons with Wesley Blake and Jaxson Ryker.
The Forgotten Sons were moved to the SmackDown brand after WrestleMania 36, but the group was pulled from television shortly after their debut after a tweet that Ryker sent out in support of Donald Trump and that was sent out as the death of George Floyd was the focus of news coverage.
Maclin and Blake returned to TV later in the year and were aligned with Baron Corbin. Blake was released in April of 2021.
