IWGP Junior, NEVER 6-Man Tag Title matches added to NJPW Kizuna Road tour

The Junior Heavyweight Tag Titles and the NEVER Openweight 6-Man belts are going to be defended during NJPW's Kizuna Road tour

Coming off the heels of their Dominion event, New Japan Pro-Wrestling pushed out announcements for the forthcoming Kizuna Road tour which kicks off on June 14th. There are currently two title matches scheduled for the tour and one of those is an IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Title match. The current champions Roppongi 3K (SHO & YOH) are going to be defending against Taiji Ishimori and El Phantasmo on June 23rd at Korakuen Hall.

The night prior at Korakuen, YOSHI-HASHI, Tomohiro Ishii and Hirooki Goto will put their NEVER Openweight 6-Man Titles on the line against EVIL, Yujiro Takahashi and Dick Togo.

Throughout the Kizuna Road tour, Young Lions Yota Tsuji and Yuya Uemura will undergo singles gauntlets. They’ll be taking on the likes of Minoru Suzuki, Zack Sabre Jr., Taichi, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kazuchika Okada respectively. The full card for night one of Kizuna Road on 6/14 was announced and here’s the lineup:

  • Yuya Uemura vs. Minoru Suzuki
  • Yota Tsuji vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi
  • Tomohiro Ishii, Hirooki Goto, YOSHI-HASHI & Toru Yano vs. Bullet Club (EVIL, Dick Togo, Yujiro Takahashi & Jado)
  • Kazuchika Okada, SHO & YOH vs. Gedo, Taiji Ishimori & El Phantasmo
  • Los Ingobernables De Japon (Shingo Takagi, Tetsuya Naito, SANADA & BUSHI) vs. Suzuki-Gun (Zack Sabre Jr., Taichi, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & El Desperado)
