After more than a year-and-a-half, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla will return with a live event this August.

The influential independent group revealed on Thursday night that they will return with a show on Sunday, August 1st. No location or matches have been announced yet.

PWG has not run a show since December 2019 due to the pandemic. They were scheduled to host ‘KOBE’ on March 29, 2020, but the show was canceled.

The group was founded in 2003 and has become a launching pad featuring the top independent stars in the world. Since 2018, the promotion has been running shows from The Globe Theatre in Los Angeles after leaving its long-time home of the American Legion Post in Reseda, California.

The PWG World Championship is held by Bandido while the last team to be recognized as PWG tag champions are Zachary Wentz & Dezmond Xavier, who has since joined WWE and are the current NXT tag champions under their name of MSK.
