Dark Side of the Ring concluded the first half of its third season on Thursday night with the announcement that the season will resume later this year.

Thursday’s episode profiled the late Tom “Dynamite Kid” Billington and was the sixth episode of season three. The VICE TV series will go on hiatus throughout the summer and resume season three in September.

Subjects to be covered later this year include Ion Croitoru a.k.a. ‘Johnny K-9’, the WWF steroid trial from 1994, Frontier Martial-Arts (FMW), The Plane Ride from Hell from May 2002, Luna Vachon, Xtreme Pro Wrestling (XPW), and Chris Kanyon.

Season three kicked off with a two-hour episode focused on Brian Pillman with subsequent episodes on Nick Cage, the Collision in Korea events from 1995, The Ultimate Warrior, and Grizzly Smith and his children.

The series launched in April 2019 and has been a huge success for VICE TV, which has added spin-off versions of the show with “Dark Side of Football” and “Dark Side of the ’90s”. The documentary series is co-produced by Evan Husney and Jason Eisener.
