Friday Night SmackDown performed well in Canada this past weekend finishing among the top sports programs for the night.

For the June 11th episode, SmackDown averaged 228,500 viewers with 110,000 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360, which was way up from the previous week’s figures of 109,100 viewers and 35,700 in the demo.

It was assisted by the fact that there was no NHL playoff competition with the most-watched sports event on Friday being the Toronto Blue Jays vs. Boston Red Sox.

SmackDown finished ahead of the two NBA playoff games that aired on TSN.

AEW Dynamite aired at 10 p.m. ET on TSN 2 but didn’t finish among the top ten sports programs. The show averaged 67,000 viewers, which was down from 94,800 for the June 4th show in the same timeslot. We did not receive a demo figure for Dynamite.

It is worth noting that Dynamite was not labeled properly on the television guide and listed instead as WNBA basketball.

The Phoenix Suns vs. Denver Nuggets playoff game didn’t start until 10:19 p.m. ET and therefore, Dynamite went against that game and the end of the Jays vs. Red Sox game, which didn’t finish until 10:44 p.m.
