NJPW, NOAH, DDT, AJPW to participate in two-day anniversary show in September

A handful of companies and organizations in Japan will be a part of an anniversary event in September to celebrate Japanese wrestling

Nine wrestling companies and organizations in Japan are coming together for a two-day event in September to celebrate the history of wrestling in Japan. The Japan Pro Wrestling Hall Of Fame formally announced the event and it is going to be titled ‘LEGACY’.

Korakuen Hall will play host to the two-day event on September 14th and 15th. This year is the 70th anniversary of Japan’s first pro wrestling show that took place at Ryogoku Memorial Hall on September 30th, 1951. The Japan Pro Wrestling Hall Of Fame commented and noted that they are hoping to bring hope to fans by presenting an event as such.

The executive committee of the Japan Pro Wrestling Hall Of Fame consists of Genichiro Tenryu’s daughter, Tatsumi Fujinami’s son and Riki Choshu’s son-in-law. Supporting members of the Hall Of Fame are HJT Productions, Antonio Inoki, Tatsumi Fujinami, Riki Choshu and Genichiro Tenryu.

New Japan, All Japan, Michinoku Pro, Big Japan, DDT, Dragon Gate, NOAH, ZERO1 and 2AW are the listed organizations that are going to be a part of the events. Freelancers, legends and local groups are welcome to participate as well.
