With Friday Night SmackDown and AEW Dynamite airing against the NHL playoffs, its Canadian viewership was hurt this past week.

The June 19th episodes of SmackDown and Dynamite both took a hit going against Game 3 of the Montreal Canadiens vs. Las Vegas Golden Knights, which topped the sports broadcasts in Canada on Friday with 2,875,000 viewers.

SmackDown featuring the Hell in a Cell Match between Roman Reigns and Rey Mysterio averaged 133,000 viewers on Sportsnet 360. This was way down from the previous week’s episode on June 11th that averaged 228,000 viewers. The show has fluctuated greatly as the June 4th episode two weeks ago averaged 109,100 viewers.

Dynamite fell to 38,000 viewers on TSN 2, a drop from 67,000 on June 11th and 94,800 on June 4th in the Friday night slot.

SmackDown and Dynamite both finished outside of the ten sports broadcasts. Other sports competition on Friday included the Euro coverage, the Toronto Blue Jays vs. Baltimore Orioles, and the NBA playoff games involving Utah vs. L.A. Clippers and Philadelphia vs. Atlanta.

AEW Dynamite will air on TSN 2 this Saturday night at 8 p.m. ET in Canada.
