WWE NXT notes: Diamond Mine debuts, Great American Bash title matches

Diamond Mine arrives, tag title match added to Great American Bash, a #1 contender's match set for next week's NXT and more

In the main event of tonight’s NXT, Kyle O’Reilly picked up a win over Cruiserweight Champion KUSHIDA. Following the match, O’Reilly brawled with Adam Cole who he’ll be facing at Great American Bash on July 6th. While KUSHIDA was in the ring, he was ambushed by the group known as “Diamond Mine”. That group is being led by Malcolm Bivens and he is joined by the returning Roderick Strong, Tyler Rust and Hideki Suzuki.

At NXT Great American Bash, the reigning NXT Tag Team Champions MSK (Nash Carter & Wes Lee) are going to be defending their titles against Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher. On next week’s NXT, the two teams will have a face-off before their title match.

The NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles will be defended at Great American Bash as well. On the 6/29 episode of NXT, the duos of Zoey Stark and Io Shirai, Dakota Kai and NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez along with Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon are competing in a three-way to determine Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell’s challengers at Great American Bash.

Next week’s program will feature a mixed tag match with Mercedes Martinez teaming with Jake Atlas to take on Xia Li and Boa.

Kicking off the 6/22 NXT was a singles match between Carmelo Hayes and Adam Cole. Cole defeated Hayes with the Panama Sunrise.
