El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori win IWGP Jr. Heavyweight tag titles

New IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Champions were crowned during Wednesday’s Kizuna Road card at Korakuen Hall.

New IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Champions were crowned during Wednesday’s Kizuna Road card at Korakuen Hall.

In the main event, El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori defeated SHO & YOH of Roppongi 3K to become three-time champions.

Phantasmo used the loaded boot to stomp the foot of YOH and hit Sudden Death with the boot to score the fall at 26 minutes and 43 seconds of the main event.

ELP & Ishimori had previously won the tag titles in June 2019 when they defeated Roppongi 3K and held the belts for the remainder of the year and lost them at Wrestle Kingdom 14. They regained the titles this past January and lost them to El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru the following month.

Wednesday’s Kizuna Road card featured the following results:

*Kota Ibushi over Yuya Uemura in 13:13
*Kazuchika Okada, Tomohiro Ishii, Hirooki Goto, YOSHI-HASHI & Toru Yano over Satoshi Kojima, Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Yuji Nagata, Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma
*Zack Sabre Jr., Taichi, El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru over Shingo Takagi, Tetsuya Naito, SANADA & BUSHI in 12:26
