AEW Dynamite notes: Road Rager announcements, Rebel injury, farewell to Daily’s Place

The last AEW show from Daily's Place until August. Notes coming out of that show include match announcements for Road Rager in Miami and more

Tonight’s AEW Dynamite was the last show at Daily’s Place until August. Next week, AEW is heading back on the road and their first show will be in Miami for their ‘Road Rager’ edition of Dynamite. Scheduled for that show is an AEW World Tag Team Title match as The Young Bucks defend against Penta El Zero M and Eddie Kingston. Penta and Eddie defeated Matt and Nick Jackson on tonight’s show.

Andrade will be making his AEW in-ring debut and he’ll take on Matt Sydal at Road Rager. There will be a South Beach Strap match between Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall. The Inner Circle and The Pinnacle will meet once again as Jake Hager, Santana and Ortiz clash with Wardlow and FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler). Konnan and Tully Blanchard will be in their respective teams’ corners.

In addition to those matches, Kris Statlander and Orange Cassidy are teaming up to face The Bunny and The Blade in Miami. Chris Jericho and MJF are going to meet face-to-face and if Jericho and get past the hurdles that MJF places in front of him, he’ll can get a one-on-one match with MJF and will get to choose the stipulation for that match

AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker and Rebel met Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero in tag team action. Baker got the win by tapping out Guerrero. Post-match, Nyla powerbombed Baker through a table. During the match, Rebel suffered a leg injury and was helped to the back by AEW’s ringside medical staff.

AEW’s Homecoming show at Daily’s Place is scheduled for August 4th.

Taz made the announcement that on July 14th in Ricky Starks’ home-state of Texas, he’ll challenge Brian Cage for the FTW Championship.

In the aforementioned main event, MJF scored a win over Sammy Guevara. Both Shawn Spears and Wardlow helped MJF get the win.
