All Elite Wrestling had their first show outside of Daily’s Place in over a year on 7/6. The show emanated from Miami, Florida and it featured the debut of Malakai Black, also known as Tommy End and formerly known as Aleister Black.
Malakai arrived to AEW by taking out both Arn Anderson and Cody Rhodes. Just one day after his appearance, AEW announced that he has joined the talent roster.
During Cody’s match against QT Marshall on the Road Rager edition of Dynamite, the lights cut out and then came back on. Arn Anderson had an interview segment later in the show and the lights cut out, but when they came back on, Malakai Black was in the ring and he delivered a Black Mass to both Arn and Cody.

Black was released from WWE in early June. PWInsider reported that he was able to appear for AEW so early because when he was moved from NXT, his 30-day non-compete was not upgraded to 90-days. Black was moved to the Raw and SmackDown brands alongside Ricochet.
