IMPACT Wrestling’s Moose is coming off of challenging Kenny Omega for the IMPACT and TNA World Heavyweight Championships. He is now moving towards a singles match at Slammiversary versus Chris Sabin.

Moose guest appeared on Mina’s House Podcast to promote the pay-per-view and discuss his career in wrestling. On July 4th, Fightful Select reported that WWE was interested in signing Moose if he became a free agent once his IMPACT contract expired. Moose did publicly share that his contract with the company was coming up in June of this year but he opted to re-sign. He said he did have the chance to go to WWE recently and explained why he decided to stay with IMPACT.

Definitely never say never [to joining WWE], right? I’ve had chances to go there and I actually had an opportunity to go there not too long ago but turned it down to stay in IMPACT.

Between us, yes, I am staying. I signed a new deal and I’m staying with IMPACT. I had the opportunity to leave to go to WWE but I just felt like right now, IMPACT was better for me with what they offered and the schedule and how I’m being used and a lot more other things and we’ll see what happens with WWE in the next couple years.

Elsewhere during their conversation, he was asked about the length of his contract and he said his deal is for two years. IMPACT has tried to get Moose to ink a long-term deal but he likes to keep it at two years.

Two years. Yeah, they do [try to get me to sign a longer-term deal] but I always just keep it at two years.

IMPACT Wrestling’s Slammiversary pay-per-view is taking place on July 17th and fans will be in attendance for the show. Headlining that event is Kenny Omega defending the IMPACT and TNA Titles against Sami Callihan.
