All Japan Pro Wrestling has confirmed that Suwama will return to action this weekend after his bout with COVID-19.

Last month, it was announced by the company that the 44-year had tested positive for the coronavirus and would be forced to vacate his Triple Crown. The title was later decided in a series of singles matches with Jake Lee becoming the Triple Crown holder at Champions Night.

In an interview with Tokyo Sports, Suwama said he was bedridden for three weeks after the positive test. He tested negative on July 1st.

Suwama is set to compete in a six-man tag on Sunday in Osaka on their ‘Summer Action Series’ card teaming with Shotaro Ashino & Dan Tamura against Triple Crown holder Jake Lee, Hokuto Omori & Yusuke Kodama.

This will be Suwama’s first match since June 9th.

Sunday’s card will also feature All Japan tag champions Kento Miyahara & Yuma Aoyagi defending against Koji Doi & Kuma Arashi.
