One day after a devastating loss to Dustin Poirier in the main event of UFC 264, Conor McGregor and his management have provided an update.
McGregor suffered a brutal injury that was discovered at the conclusion of the first round of Saturday’s main event where the fighter sustained a break in his tibia and fibula. The fight was called off with Poirier winning by TKO due to a doctor’s stoppage as McGregor could not stand up.
On Sunday evening, McGregor’s manager Audie Attar of Paradigm Sports issued the following update:

McGregor himself posted a video message with an update to thank the fans and said he would be on crutches for six weeks and then “we begin to build back”. He said it would have been nice to get into the second round and told Poirier that he can celebrate “that illegitimate win”. He said he would dust himself off and come back better than ever:
