Team Taz betrays Brian Cage, Moxley & Archer will clash next week in Texas, Wheeler YUTA makes his Dynamite debut & more from AEW Fyter Fest

Cedar Park, Texas played host to night one of AEW Fyter Fest. In one of two title matches on the night, Ricky Starks defeated Brian Cage to become the new FTW Champion. Powerhouse Hobbs hit Cage with the belt which led to Ricky scoring the victory.

Miro had a promo segment on the show and he sported the newly redesigned TNT Championship on his shoulder. The ribbon-style plate on the title is now green.

To kick off Fyter Fest night one, Jon Moxley successfully retained the IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Title by beating Karl Anderson. Following that bout, it was announced that Moxley will defend the title again next week against Lance Archer in a Texas Deathmatch. This is a rematch from their Wrestle Kingdom 14 bout. Next week’s AEW Fyter Fest is emanating from Garland, Texas.

While speaking with Alex Marvez, Andrade El Idolo set his sights on Death Triangle (PAC, Penta El Zero M & Rey Fenix).

In order to get to MJF, Chris Jericho must make it through a series of challenges that are being put in front of him by MJF. That first challenge begins on 7/21 when Jericho goes one-on-one with Shawn Spears. The rule is that Spears can use a chair in the match but Jericho cannot.

Independent Wrestling TV Champion Wheeler YUTA made his Dynamite debut. He fell in defeat to Sammy Guevara. Darby Allin and Ethan Page’s Coffin match headlined the show. Darby got the victory and he hit a ‘Coffin Drop’ through the coffin onto Page.

Also scheduled for next week’s Fyter Fest is Britt Baker defending the AEW Women’s World Championship against Nyla Rose along with Orange Cassidy versus The Blade.

Yuka Sakazaki was in action on 7/14. She picked up a win over Penelope Ford.
