The National Wrestling Alliance was represented at IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary.
Coming into Slammiversary, Deonna Purrazzo was going to defend her Knockouts Championship against a mystery opponent. When the time came to reveal Deonna’s opponent, NWA and AEW talent Thunder Rosa answered the challenge.
Rosa was unsuccessful in her attempt to capture the Knockouts Championship and post-match, as Purrazzo was celebrating her victory, she was interrupted by the theme of ‘Hardcore Country’ as Mickie James made her return to IMPACT.
James was last a part of IMPACT in 2015. She approached Deonna Purrazzo and asked her to be a part of NWA’s all-women’s pay-per-view Empowerrr. Deonna bragged about every promotion and company wanting her on their show[s]. This led to an exchange of insults between the two and James slapping Purrazzo.
HARDCORE COUNTRY!
