This past Saturday, IMPACT Wrestling presented the second biggest show of their calendar year, Slammiversary. The headlining match of that event was Sami Callihan challenging Kenny Omega for the IMPACT World Championship in a No-DQ match. Callihan was unsuccessful in his attempt to defeat Omega.

The pay-per-view featured several talent returns and debuts such as Mickie James, Thunder Rosa and No Way Jose.

Prior to Slammiversary, Sami Callihan sat down with FITE TV to promote the show. He expressed his thought that IMPACT has not presented a bad pay-per-view in over three years and he was confident that trend would continue with Slammiversary.

Ultimate X also, you can’t forget that. You know, IMPACT Wrestling does pay-per-views better than any other wrestling company on the planet. Everyone else will say, ‘Oh this company, this company.’ Pay-per-views come around, IMPACT Wrestling kills it. IMPACT Wrestling has not had a bad pay-per-view in over three years.

After Omega defeated Callihan, The Elite were approached by NEVER Openweight Champion Jay White from New Japan Pro-Wrestling. White was ambushed by Juice Robinson and David Finlay, who he’ll be defending the NEVER Openweight Title against at Resurgence in August.
