In the weeks leading up to their recent taping at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Major League Wrestling hosted an Open Draft and brought on the likes of Davey Richards, E.J. Nduka, Alex Kane and former IWTV Independent Wrestling Champion Lee Moriarty.
Moriarty debuted for MLW at the Battle Riot III taping and that show is going to stream on YouTube this weekend. Upon the news coming out that he was going to take part in MLW’s tapings, Moriarty clarified that he is still a free agent.
While speaking to Sam Roberts on the Notsam Wrestling podcast, Moriarty explained that he’s not against the idea of signing a deal with MLW, but he wants to focus on what he can control which is what he does in the ring.
I’m just gonna wrestle, I’m gonna have fun, I’m looking forward to wrestling for MLW. I’m excited about that because I like their product. I’m going in a free agent. That doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t sign there, that doesn’t mean I would sign there. It’s just I’m focused on what I can control and what I can control is me wrestling and me giving a good performance. That’s what I’m focused on.
Moriarty has been wrestling since 2015 and has had spots in IMPACT Wrestling and he’s become a regular presence in Game Changer Wrestling.
