Nieves began his career in pro wrestling in the late 70s. He was a part of the NWA Hollywood Wrestling roster and captured the promotion’s tag team titles in the 80s. He spent two decades with CMLL before being hired by WWE in 2005.
It was in WWE that he was given the ‘Super Porky’ name and was paired with some of the miniature wrestlers that WWE was trying to establish at the time. He joined AAA in 2006 and after leaving AAA, he continued to work the independent scene in Mexico.
POST Wrestling would like to send our condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of Jose Nieves.
