The next challenger to the U.S. Title has stepped forward.
As AEW Fight For The Fallen was underway, a video package aired which saw former 8-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi stake his claim to an IWGP U.S. Title match. It was confirmed that Tanahashi will be the next challenger to the title holder.
Later at Fight For The Fallen, the current champion Lance Archer is going to defend against Hikuleo. Archer became a two-time U.S. Champion by defeating Jon Moxley in a Texas Deathmatch on night two of Fyter Fest.
