John Cena signed on the dotted line and is now challenging Roman Reigns for the Universal Title.
Universal Champion Roman Reigns was joined in the ring by Finn Balor to sign the contract for their title match at SummerSlam. As Balor was about to sign, he was ambushed from behind by Baron Corbin who was given an ‘Attitude Adjustment’ from John Cena earlier in the show.
Corbin then grabbed the contract and before he could sign it, John Cena made his way to the ring, threw Corbin into the ring post and signed the contract so that he could face Reigns for the Universal Title at SummerSlam.
Paul Heyman met with Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville backstage about the situation and both Pearce and Deville confirmed that Cena is challenging Reigns.
