Bobby Lashley accepted Goldberg’s challenge.
Several weeks ago, WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg made his return to the company to issue a challenge to the WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. Lashley initially declined the request but on tonight’s episode of Raw at the Allstate Arena, Lashley accepted Goldberg’s challenge and their match was made official for SummerSlam.
To open the show, Goldberg confronted both MVP and Lashley. After Goldberg exited camera’s view, Lashley and MVP began to taunt Goldberg’s son Gage. This led to the former two-time Universal Champion coming back down the entrance ramp and spearing MVP.

There are now three championship matches set for SummerSlam on August 21st and here’s the updated lineup:
- Raw Women’s Championship — Triple-Threat Match: Nikki A.S.H. (c) vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley
- WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) (w/ Paul Heyman) vs. John Cena
- WWE Championship: Bobby Lashley (c) (w/ MVP) vs. Goldberg
