AEW’s Homecoming edition of Dynamite continued its streak topping one million viewers for the fourth consecutive week.

The return of Daily’s Place for the AEW debut of Malakai Black and a return to U.S. national television for Juventud Guerrera saw Dynamite average 1,102,000 viewers with 593,000 (0.46) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.

The overall viewership was nearly identical to last week’s average of 1,108,000 for Fight for the Fallen while the 18-49 demo was another 2021 high and one of Dynamite’s highest of all-time with 593,000 compared to 583,000 last week.

For the month of July, Dynamite averaged 1,038,000 viewers and 524,000 in 18-49. This included the Road Ragers, Fyter Fest, and Fight for the Fallen-themed editions.

Wednesday’s return to Jacksonville featured the in-ring debut of Malakai Black for the promotion, defeating Cody Rhodes in under five minutes and ending the show with a tease of Rhodes retiring before Black attacked him further. The show opened with the “3rd Labor of Jericho” as Chris Jericho defeated Juventud Guerrera in their first singles match since February 1999.

In Canada, Dynamite aired on TSN3 instead of the usual TSN2, averaging 120,700 viewers and 63,700 in the 25-54 demographic. The sports programming for the day was led by the Toronto Blue Jays vs. Cleveland Guardians and coverage of the Tokyo Olympics.

The Canadian viewership figure was down from last week’s average of 131,000 but the demo figure was up from 61,100.

This week’s episode of Dynamite topped last Friday’s episode of SmackDown in Canada, which averaged 99,500 viewers against the big home opener involving the Toronto Blue Jays. It was an abnormally low number for SmackDown with baseball being the likely culprit.
