An update on the knee dislocation injury that Rebel suffered in June.

On the 6/30 episode of AEW Dynamite, Rebel and AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker took on Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero in tag team action. Rebel suffered an injury during the match when she landed awkwardly on her leg while trying to break up a pin.

Coming out of the show, it was reported by both Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp and F4WOnline that Rebel dislocated her kneecap. She has been present on TV with Britt Baker since the injury and during her appearance on AEW Unrestricted, Rebel said her knee is recovering well. She has damaged cartilage but doesn’t need surgery.

This knee right here, it’s doing really well and I have been very blessed by the Lord up above because it could have been so much worse and I could have had some serious damage. There’s no surgery, just damaged cartilage. So I just gotta do a little, you know, P.T. to build the strength back up and I’m gonna be good to go, and I gotta wear a brace to prevent it from happening again.

Both Baker and Rebel appeared on the 8/4 AEW Homecoming show. Baker was challenged to a match by Red Velvet and their title match was added to the Rampage debut on August 13th in Baker’s hometown of Pittsburgh.
