Danny Limelight chats with Booker T about some of his future goals and ambitions.
The 29-year-old Danny Limelight has competed for AEW, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, the United Wrestling Network and was signed to Major League Wrestling in 2021. On the MLW front, he is a part of a new branch of L.A.X. that includes Slice Boogie, Konnan and Julius Smokes.
Limelight does have other goals he wants to achieve beyond what he has done in the past year-and-a-half. He chatted with Booker T on Booker’s spotlight of the indies series and Limelight stated that he would love to wrestle for WWE one day. He added that he’s always had the dream of headlining a Madison Square Garden show.
Man, that would be amazing [to compete at WrestleMania]. You know, my dream has always been main event at Madison Square Garden. You know, I’m from Brooklyn, New York and I grew up watching WWE. You know, that’s where I started. That’s the only wrestling that I knew until I started becoming a professional wrestler. I didn’t know about the indies, I didn’t know about New Japan and Ring of Honor and all these other places out there, you know? I think wrestling is doing amazing right now. I think it’s thriving. I think people are talking about it. You [Booker T] know very well, the Booker T song with Bad Bunny. For lack of a better term, it’s becoming cool again. People are tuning in, they’re watching all these different wrestling programs and everything that we’re doing and I would love to wrestle in the WWE someday. I haven’t had a chance yet to get my foot in the door and step into that ring yet, but one day hopefully I will. I just gotta continue to grind like I said, put the pedal to the metal and not let up at all.
Limelight was a part of the NJPW Tag Team Turbulence tournament that was won by Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson.
