Two former UFC champions are expected to fight as Triller will promote a boxing match between Anderson Silva and Tito Ortiz.
The news of the fight was first reported by Damon Martin of MMA Fighting.
The fight is scheduled to take place at the Triller pay-per-view event on September 11th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles that will also feature Oscar De La Hoya fighting Vitor Belfort.
Silva fought Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in June and won by split decision in his third professional boxing fight. It will be the first time Ortiz has participated in a pro boxing fight.
It is expected to be fought at 195 pounds.
Both men are 46 with Ortiz last competing in MMA in December 2019 where he submitted Alberto El Patron on a Combate Americas event. He is a former UFC light heavyweight champion and fought for the promotion from 1997 to 2012. He came out of retirement to fight for Bellator in 2014 and had another retirement fight in 2017 against Chael Sonnen before his latest returns. He recently stepped down from his position on the Huntington Beach City Council where he was elected last November.
