The 8/17 episode of NXT on USA Network is being dubbed ‘Title Tuesday’ as two championship matches will be on tap. Cruiserweight Champion KUSHIDA is defending his title against Diamond Mine’s Roderick Strong and along with that, NXT Tag Team Champions MSK (Nash Carter & Wes Lee) are putting their titles on the line against Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel of Imperium.

Odyssey Jones is heading to the finals of the Breakout tournament. He defeated Trey Baxter in a semi-final match. The next semi-final is taking place next week and it will be Duke Hudson versus Carmelo Hayes. The winner is going to face Odyssey Jones in the finals at a later date.

The main event of the 8/10 show was Pete Dunne versus Ilja Dragunov. Dunne was able to score the victory following a distraction from NXT UK Champion WALTER. WALTER is scheduled to defend the NXT UK Title against Ilja at TakeOver 36.

Ahead of their title match at TakeOver, NXT Champion Karrion Kross and Samoa Joe will have a face-off that William Regal is moderating.

To open the show, Sarray’s 6-match win streak in NXT was ended by Dakota Kai. Ember Moon was originally supposed to face Sarray but was pulled from the match due to injury.

WWE Performance Center prospect Parker Boudreaux played the role of a security guard during the Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly segment. There was a brawl between Cole and O’Reilly as well.

WWE Hall Of Famer Beth Phoenix was not present at the commentary table this week. Vic Joseph stated that she was on vacation.
