The major news coming out of the AAA Mega Heavyweight Championship match at TripleMania XXIX was the unannounced appearance by Ric Flair.

Flair, who was released by WWE earlier this month, made an unannounced appearance in the corner of Andrade El Idolo for his match against Mega Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega.

Flair came out to a huge reaction and setting Twitter ablaze at the special appearance. Flair served as a counter to Konnan, who accompanied Omega to the ring.

During the match, Flair got involved with Omega selling his punched and a double figure-four spot with Andrade applying one to Omega and Flair applying the hold on Konnan.

The match climaxed with a One-Winged Angel by Omega on top of the championship and he retained the title.

It was Omega’s third match in four nights after a six-man tag on Dynamite this past Wednesday and losing the IMPACT Championship to Christian Cage on Friday night’s episode of AEW Rampage in Pittsburgh.
