WWE NXT notes: Indi Hartwell proposes to Lumis, Hit Row/Legado, Roderick Strong

The NXT TakeOver 36 go-home show featured more build for O'Reilly versus Cole, an InDex engagement and more

InDex (Dexter Lumis & Indi Hartwell) competed in a tag match on tonight’s NXT. They defeated Robert Stone and Jessi Kamea. Post-match, Indi Hartwell got on one knee and proposed to Lumis. He accepted and the pair are now ‘engaged’. Hartwell also turned 25-years-old today.

Below are the matches scheduled for the 8/24 edition of NXT:

  • Hit Row (Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott, AJ Francis & Ashante Thee Adonis) (w/ B-FAB) vs. Legado Del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza)
  • Ridge Holland (w/ Pete Dunne) vs. Timothy Thatcher (w/ Tommaso Ciampa)
  • Breakout Tournament Finals: Carmelo Hayes vs. Odyssey Jones

MSK (Nash Carter & Wes Lee) defeated Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner to retain the NXT Tag Team Championships.

To kick off NXT, due to Cruiserweight Champion KUSHIDA being unable to compete, Diamond Mine’s Roderick Strong hosted an open challenge. Answering the call was Ilja Dragunov, who will be challenging WALTER for the NXT UK Championship at TakeOver 36. Ilja picked up a win over Strong.

There was a vignette that aired during the show for Jacey Jane. Her last match was in July against Franky Monet. Prior to that, Jane competed in a Battle Royal on a September 2020 episode of NXT.
