Sonya Deville intends on getting back in the ring.

This past January, Sonya Deville returned to WWE TV in a non-wrestling role and since then, she has been paired with Adam Pearce and they are the figureheads of Raw and SmackDown collectively. Deville was last in action at the 2020 SummerSlam pay-per-view and she lost to Mandy Rose in a ‘Loser Leaves WWE’ match.

On August 23rd, it will be a full year since Deville wrestled in a sanctioned match. She told Darren Paltrowitz that she does plan on wrestling again and when she does return, she’s coming for the SmackDown Women’s Title.

I definitely feel like I just scratched the surface. I haven’t even gotten started. I started with this company [WWE] when I was 21, I’m 27 now and I plan on being here for as long as they’ll allow me to be. I wanna do so much more and you know, eventually get back in the ring and win the SmackDown Women’s Championship one day so…

A week prior to the 2020 SummerSlam, Deville’s home was broken into and there is a trial that is still ongoing. The individual, Phillip Thomas entered Deville’s home with a knife, zip ties, duct tape and mace while fellow WWE talent Mandy Rose was also present in the vicinity.
