KENTA is the latest New Japan performer to confirm that he had a positive COVID diagnosis over the past month.

The wrestler posted on Instagram that he had tested positive, although recently tested negative and didn’t display any severe symptoms:

I got COVID last few weeks. First of all, I want to apologize to everyone who had to (change plans) because of me. Fortunately, my symptom was not too bad. Just got fever (102 Fahrenheit) and lost my smell. But now I’m totally fine. And got (a negative test). Stay safe and healthy, everyone.

The 40-year old last wrestled on July 25th at Wrestle Grand Slam at the Tokyo Dome in the 22-man New Japan Ranbo.

He is not listed for any of the remaining Summer Struggle cards this week.
