In a new video posted by WWE, Bill Goldberg states he has pending knee surgery and indicated a continuation of the program with Bobby Lashley.

Goldberg spoke to WWE.com and stated he had “ligament damage” with an upcoming knee surgery scheduled, which is being attributed in the storyline to the damage sustained at SummerSlam by Bobby Lashley.

Goldberg added that his son Gage has a “jacked up shoulder” and neck pain with Goldberg stating he isn’t coming for Lashley’s championship, but instead, “for his soul” and will rip it out his chest.

Lashley retained the WWE Championship at SummerSlam earlier this month when the referee waved off the match due to the knee injury to Goldberg after he was struck by MVP’s cane.

Goldberg has stated in the past that his WWE deal calls for two matches per year and stated on The Bump earlier this month, that he has two matches remaining on the existing deal.
