WWE has announced a new location for the October 1st edition of Friday Night SmackDown, which now takes place in Baltimore, Maryland.

The company released the following information regarding the change in location:

The WWE Friday Night SmackDown live event scheduled for October 1 at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans has been postponed. All original tickets will be honored for the new 2022 date.

Friday Night SmackDown on October 1 will now take place at Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore.

While WWE did not specify if this was related, the New Orleans Pelicans announced on Monday that the Smoothie King Center sustained “minor damage” as a result of Hurricane Ida. In a release, the team stated that the minor damage was to the exterior of the building and would not impact any home games for the Pelicans, which begins its season on October 20th.
