A new report is out that notes the latest working plan for WrestleMania 38 is to split the event into two nights in Arlington, Texas.
Sean Ross Sapp at Fightful Select is reporting that while nothing is official yet, the working plan as of last week was for WrestleMania 38 to be a two-night event at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
A source tells POST Wrestling the same that internally it’s set for two nights but nothing is final yet.
If so, this would mark the third consecutive year that WWE’s showcase event is split over two nights. In 2020, they ran on back-to-back nights without fans for the taped events at the Performance Center during the early days of the pandemic. Earlier this year, they ran WrestleMania 37 over two nights with limited attendance at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
The company had previously announced the date of Sunday, April 3, 2022, for WrestleMania 38 at the stadium. During this year’s WrestleMania, a promo for the event ran and simply listed “April 2022”.
It’s the second time that AT&T Stadium is hosting WrestleMania after serving as the host of WrestleMania 32 in April 2016, which was headlined by Triple H vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Championship.
