Pete Dunne and Ridge Holland separate themselves from the pack, Franky Monet gets her shot at the title on 9/14 and Steph De Lander debuts

The group of Pete Dunne, Ridge Holland, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch is no longer as Dunne and Holland separated themselves on the 9/7 episode of NXT. After Burch and Lorcan’s NXT Tag Title match loss to the champions MSK (Nash Carter & Wes Lee), they were ambushed by Dunne and left laying in the ring.

Pete Dunne is scheduled to compete on the 9/14 show which will be live on USA Network. Dunne, Kyle O’Reilly, L.A. Knight and Tommaso Ciampa are set to be a part of a four-way to determine the next challenger to Samoa Joe’s NXT Championship.

The reigning NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez will have her next defense of the title on 9/14, as she is defending against Franky Monet. Monet made her NXT TV debut by confronting the then-newly crowned champion Raquel Gonzalez.

Diamond Mine’s Julius and Brutus Creed had their TV in-ring debuts on tonight’s program. They made quick work of the enhancement talent they shared the ring with.

Steph De Lander made her first NXT TV on-screen appearance as a part of Indi Hartwell’s bachelorette party segment. De Lander was referred to a ‘Persia’.

On the 9/7 show, Breakout tournament winner Carmelo Hayes took on Santos Escobar in singles competition. Elektra Lopez bodyslammed Hayes on the outside which led to Escobar scoring the win.

After falling in defeat in their Women’s Tag Title match, Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro were beat down by Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin and Jacey Jane.

The Mei Ying character made her in-ring debut and defeated her opponent in under five minutes.
