Cody Rhodes is returning to in-ring action at Dynamite Grand Slam in Arthur Ashe Stadium. Cody is scheduled to take on Malakai Black. In their last encounter, Black defeated Cody in under five minutes.

There were several segments involving Brian Pillman Jr. He brawled with MJF and Wardlow after MJF insulted Pillman Jr.’s family who was ringside. Pillman Jr. is going to face MJF at the Arthur Ashe show on 9/22.

Following a six-man tag that saw Shawn Spears, Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood defeat Dark Order (Stu Grayson, Evil Uno & John Silver), members of the Dark Order began to go after one another. There was an interview segment with Tully Blanchard backstage. He said next week on Dynamite, it’ll be Shawn Spears versus Darby Allin. Blanchard closed by adding that soon, it’ll be him and Sting face-to-face.

Jon Moxley defeated Minoru Suzuki with the ‘Paradigm Shift’ in the main event.

During CM Punk’s in-ring segment, he shouted out Linda, aunt to Brian Pillman Jr. and mentioned that he watched the Dark Side of the Ring episode about Brian Pillman Sr. and praised Linda for being a leader in the family.

In her AEW in-ring debut, Ruby Soho defeated Jamie Hayter. Post-match, Ruby was beat down by Hayter, Rebel and Britt Baker. It was Riho and Kris Statlander that came to her aid.

Jade Cargill versus Leyla Hirsch is scheduled for the 9/15 show and Excalibur was not on commentary tonight because he is getting married soon.
