**Tonight, we are live with Rewind-A-Dynamite at 10:15 p.m. ET as Wai Ting and I review Dynamite from Cincinnati. The two of us will go over all the television numbers from the past few days, discuss the Kevin Owens story, G1 Climax cards, Evander Holyfield vs. Vitor Belfort, and we’ll take your feedback on Dynamite. **Andrew Thompson will have an interview with Rok-C on the site this Friday. Ring of Honor has just announced that they have signed the female performer ahead of her match with Miranda Alize this Sunday to crown the next ROH Women’s Champion at Death Before Dishonor.
**Nate Milton will join me on Rewind-A-SmackDown this Friday night at 11:15 p.m. ET to review SmackDown & Rampage. The show will be live for all members of the POST Wrestling Café.

WRESTLING NEWS
**AEW president Tony Khan appeared on Busted Open Radio on Wednesday and spoke about the success of All Out on pay-per-view. Khan said that it was the “most-watched wrestling pay-per-view by any company outside of WWE since the ‘90s”. He added that this would have been a good number by WWE standards in the pre-WWE Network era. Khan added that Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole, and CM Punk would all be live in Cincinnati tonight.
**AEW presents its follow-up to All Out with tonight’s edition of Dynamite from the Fifth Third Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio. The show is being advertised as Jon Moxley’s “Homecoming” where he will have his rematch with Minoru Suzuki. The company is coming off its most successful show in its history and tonight will dictate how much momentum they are riding with the curiosity over the additions of Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole, and Ruby Soho as they embark on a massive month in their short history.
Since July 14th, AEW has topped one million viewers in six of those eight weeks and never dipped below 975,000. In those same eight weeks, they have averaged 534,000 in 18-49 and that’s going to be the number to watch and see what Danielson and Punk together can help grow. Obviously, there is an immediate buzz whenever a big name arrives and typically it will settle at a lower level but over time, the hope would be that the growth follows and is sustainable. The positive for AEW is that they have a lot lined up beyond just the novelty value of new names. Those sampling AEW tonight are going to be directed to bigger shows over the next few weeks and it’s the case of having attention and several cards up their sleeve to hopefully, keep those people engaged.
The next two weeks feature two of their biggest events ever with the long-awaited debut in Newark next Wednesday that has over 11,000 tickets out followed by Arthur Ashe Stadium on September 22nd, which will be their largest show ever. The way the pay-per-view ended certainly suggested the potential of an eight-man tag between The Elite and Danielson, Cage & Jurassic Express that could fit on either show. Soho’s first match is tonight against Jamie Hayter, which should serve as the stepping-stone for Soho’s title match with Britt Baker. You also have Santana & Ortiz positioned as the next challenger for the tag titles, which would be a big match to do in Queens along with Eddie Kingston in a featured match on the same night.

AEW is also taping Rampage in Cincinnati tonight, which will feature the match between Andrade El Idolo and PAC. This will be the second time that Rampage is taped, and the results will be out for 48 hours before it airs. The first taped episode did well and backed up the proven theory that live vs. taped means next to nothing and if you have something hot, it will actually help.
**Journeyman wrestler Bill White has died at the age of 76 with the news of his death announced by his daughter Nicole. White wrestled all over the U.S. throughout his career after entering the industry in 1964. He worked for promoters including Eddie Graham, Vince McMahon Sr., Roy Shire, Verne Gagne, Fritz Von Erich, Nick Gulas, and Jim Crockett among his major stints. His talents took him overseas on tours for both All Japan and New Japan and his last major territory was Georgia Championship Wrestling. White and El Gran Goliath won the Texas Tag Team Championship in February 1979 from Bull Ramos & Tiger Conway Jr. in Fort Worth and held them several weeks before losing the belts to David Von Erich & Conway Jr. White was honored by the Cauliflower Alley Club in 2006.
In 2006, Ryan Nation wrote a great story on White for SLAM Wrestling including quotes from White and long-time friend Les Thatcher, who first wrestled White in 1969.
Thatcher shared the following message after learning of White’s passing:
It’s a night of sadness and tears as I just was messaging with Nathen White about his Dad Bill passing tonight. We first met right here in Knoxville in 1969 when he & partner Mack York worked with Whitey Caldwell and myself. Bill was as green as grass, that night and as the old saying goes,” he could barely slap his ass with both hands”. I’m honored and proud to say he credited me with helping him grow in our business, and proud that he asked me to present him at CAC in 2005 for his award. We shared the ring often over the years and shared a lot of laughs as well along the way. Bill was a solid journeyman who also held many a green kid’s hand along the way, and always shared his love, respect, & passion for our industry. This leaves a void in many lives, and to Nathen, his family, and friends I send my thoughts and prayers, and all of us who knew and loved Bill, he will be remembered with so much love & respect. Go with God my dear friend!
In speaking with Les today, he added that “Bill deserves praise as he was a blue-collar worker who was always up for what was best for the big picture”.
**The annual PWI 500 was released on Wednesday, which is a list that is taken more seriously than any other especially by wrestlers as many grew up as fans and the annual list is a big deal for them. This year’s top ten were Kenny Omega, Roman Reigns, Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre, Kota Ibushi, Jon Moxley, Will Ospreay, Finn Balor, Shingo Takagi, and Rich Swann. Unlike a lot of similar lists, PWI does include “in-ring achievement” as a barometer, which you can equate to a talent being pushed and is, therefore, going to typically have more wins. The other criteria include influence, technical ability, “competition”, an activity where they need ten matches total during the period (July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2021) or six matches in separate months.
**AEW music producer Mikey Rukus was asked about the time he had to prepare Adam Cole’s new theme prior to Sunday’s arrival and he gave the following answer:
About a week, but I had to get it done early as I was going to be in Chicago.
All I know is as soon as I got the name “Adam Cole” the riff & style hit me instantly. I couldn’t sleep that whole night. Got up next morning & started EARLY A.M.

**There will be a special episode of Dark Side of the Ring: Confidential on Thursday night at 9 p.m. ET on Vice TV. Creators Evan Husney & Jason Eisener will be joined by narrator Chris Jericho to preview the remaining episodes this season, which resume next week in the same time slot.
**Paul London has stated he is open to taking bookings and is available for wrestling, seminars, and producing given his wealth of experience. London has not wrestled since 2018 and his last role on television was with Lucha Underground as part of The Rabbit Tribe, which included “The White Rabbit”, who is now Karrion Kross.
**Game Changer Wrestling has announced that its September 17th card “Highest in the Room” is sold out. The event will feature Minoru Suzuki vs. Jonathan Gresham, Chris Dickinson vs. Jacob Fatu, Effy vs. 2 Cold Scorpio, and Tony Deppen vs. comedian Ron Funches as well as Nick Gage, Alex Zayne, AJ Gray, and Jordan Oliver announced for the event. The card will stream on Fite TV and takes place from the Ukrainian Cultural Center.

**DEFY Wrestling has announced that Daniel Garcia will face Christopher Daniels at their “Hell Bent” event on Thursday, October 14th at The Lodge Room in Los Angeles. Eddie Kingston will also be appearing on the show.
**PWX Wrestling out of North Carolina has announced that Robbie Eagles is coming for the October 2nd “All Hail The King” event at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center in Concord. This event will feature Minoru Suzuki wrestling Anthony Henry as well.
**Eagles has also been added to NJPW Strong’s tapings on September 25th and September 26th in Garland, Texas at the Curtis Culwell Center.
**The WWE stock closed at $50.55 on Wednesday.
MMA NEWS
**This weekend’s Triller Fight Club card is going to receive a lot of coverage in the next few days due to the addition of former U.S. President Donald Trump, who will be on commentary for the main event between Evander Holyfield and Vitor Belfort. It’s a show that deserves plenty of scrutiny and underlines the issues with promotions having the ability to move a card to a state where the commission won’t necessarily have the same guidelines as another. MMA Fighting reported that when 58-year old Holyfield was named the replacement for Oscar De La Hoya, the California State Athletic Commission would not license the fighter to compete and therefore, the card has been moved to Hollywood, Florida for this Saturday. Belfort only has one prior boxing fight and that was in 2006 but he’s 44 years old and Holyfield has no business fighting at any professional level in 2021.
**Darren Till went into his fight with Derek Brunson this past Saturday with a completely torn ACL, according to his coach Colin Heron. While speaking with ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, Heron stated the injury occurred about nine weeks before the fight and everyone assumed the fight was off but Till wanted to give it two weeks and see how he felt. Till wanted to go through with the fight and they went with his decision. The idea of attempting to train and then fighting with a complete ACL tear is just insane to think about. Till was submitted in the third round by Brunson and it was his fourth loss in his last five fights and is 1-2 since returning to middleweight. One would assume Till will be out of action for quite a while as he deals with the injury.
ON THIS DATE
ECW leaned into the real-life circumstances of WWF about to come to TNN later that month in 2000. ECW was able to stay on the network longer than anticipated and had its final episode on TNN on October 6th.
