REPORT: Kevin Owens’ WWE contract to expire in January 2022

The former Universal Champion’s deal is coming up, per report.

Back in 2018, Kevin Owens told Pat Laprade during their chat that he signed a five-year extension with WWE that would take him into 2023. It was recently reported by Fightful Select that Owens’ deal is set to expire this coming January due to pre-pandemic restructuring of contracts.

F4WOnline followed up on the story and confirmed that Owens’ deal is coming up in January.

The 37-year-old Owens has been a part of WWE since 2014. Throughout his time in the company, he has held the NXT, Universal, Intercontinental and United States Championships.

Owens is currently involved in a program on SmackDown with Baron Corbin. Their latest run-in included Logan Paul who led Owens into being attacked by Corbin.

On 9/7, Owens tweeted out coordinates to Mount Rushmore which is also the name of the former PWG faction with himself, The Young Bucks and new All Elite Wrestling signee Adam Cole.
