Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young appears on Friday Night SmackDown.
There was a tag match on WWE’s Friday Night SmackDown event at Madison Square Garden. Before the match began, Sami Zayn got on the microphone and brought out Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young in front of the New York City fans.
Young and the Atlanta Hawks bounced the New York Knicks out of the 2021 NBA Playoffs and during the series, there were multiple times when the MSG crowd specifically taunted and booed Young.
He attempted to help Sami Zayn’s team get the win but the referee ended up ejecting Trae from ringside which led to Dominik Mysterio scoring the win for his team.
