Bobby Fish is set for his first wrestling event since leaving WWE earlier this year, with the news he will be part of MLW’s ‘Fightland’ card.

Fish spoke to SI.com with the announcement he will be part of the Opera Cup tournament that begins on October 2nd at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

It will be Fish’s first appearance since his departure from WWE last month among the many cuts made by the company.

While speaking to Justin Barrasso of SI.com, he commented on his tenure with NXT:

There were so many positives from my time in NXT, and I was able to accomplish that with three of my best friends in the industry. It’s really humbling to think of all we did, and to experience that with them was very special. As for right now, having an extra chip on my shoulder now isn’t necessarily a bad thing for me at all.

Fish wrestled for WWE from 2017 until this past August where he held the NXT Tag Team Championship twice as a member of The Undisputed Era with Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong.

The 44-year old will be part of the eight-man Opera Cup tournament at ‘Fightland’ and joins Davey Richards, Matt Cross, Tom Lawlor, TJP, and Calvin Tankman among the participants.

‘Fightland’ will feature the quarter-finals and semi-finals that night at the 2300 Arena along with a Title vs. Title match between Jacob Fatu and Alex Hammerstone.
