Coming off Sunday’s event at Korakuen Hall, the semi-finals and final of Pro Wrestling NOAH’s N-1 Victory tournament are set.
The card on Sunday from Korakuen Hall featured the final round-robin matches to determine the winners of the four blocks that advance to next weekend’s semi-final matches.
The A Block came down to Kaito Kiyomiya and Keiji Muto with the two engaging in their third singles match. Kiyomiya’s win over Muto remains elusive as the two went to a 30-minute draw, which allowed Kiyomiya to advance and win the block by having one point more than Muto.
The B Block was decided by Sunday’s match where Kenoh defeated Masaaki Mochizuki. The win propelled Kenoh to jump to four points, which equaled the total for Mochizuki and won the block based on the head-to-head victory.
The C Block winner was Katsuhiko Nakajima, who ended the round-robin portion with a win over Kazushi Sakuraba. Nakajima was the 2020 winner of the N-1 Victory tournament.
The D Block featured Masakatsu Funaki pinning Kazuyuki Fujita in a match that lasted five minutes as the 52-year old will be the veteran presence among the final four next weekend.
The semi-finals and final take place on Sunday, October 3rd at Korakuen Hall. The pairings will see Kaito Kiyomiya face-off with Kenoh and Masakatsu Funaki takes on Katsuhiko Nakajima on the other side of the bracket. The two winners will meet in the main event of the show with the winner earning a GHC Heavyweight Championship shot against Naomichi Marufuji.
