AEW Dynamite notes: Hangman Page earns World Title shot, Lio Rush/Dante Martin

Hangman Adam Page is back in AEW and earned himself a world title match, Lio Rush wants to help Dante Martin, Serena Deeb vs. Hikaru Shida

After being out of action since July, Hangman Adam Page returned to AEW television in the Casino Ladder match. He was able to outlast Jon Moxley, PAC, Andrade El Idolo, Orange Cassidy, Matt Hardy and Lance Archer to win the match and secure himself a shot at the AEW World Championship. Page and the champion Kenny Omega will meet in a singles match for the first time since the 2020 Full Gear event.

Dante Martin had an in-ring interview segment and said he is looking for his next challenger. He was confronted by Malakai Black who gave Martin a ‘Black Mass’ kick. Shortly after, a vignette aired for Lio Rush and Rush offered to help Dante.

It was promoted that Hikaru Shida is one win away from her 50th overall in AEW. She took on Serena Deeb on the 10/6 show and was tapped out by Deeb. Post-match, Serena ambushed Shida from behind with the trophy that would have been given to Shida had she gotten that 50th win.

To open Dynamite, The Super Elite (Kenny Omega, Adam Cole, Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) defeated Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, Bryan Danielson and Jungle Boy. Adam Cole pinned Jungle Boy.

During CM Punk’s promo segment in-which he challenged Daniel Garcia to a match for Rampage, Punk gave his Jordan 1s to a fan in attendance. Punk spent several hundred dollars on those shows while sneaker shopping with Complex.
