Last month, Tatsumi Fujinami captured the HEAT UP Universal and PWL World Titles. He was scheduled to be in action for All Japan Pro Wrestling on 10/16 but the company announced that he will no longer be appearing.

Fujinami, 67, had a great deal of inflammation in his left leg and was ultimately diagnosed with cellulitis. He had the following to say about being pulled from the show:
Currently, I am receiving appropriate treatment according to the doctor’s instructions for the [quickest] return. Fortunately, I was able to take the treatment early, so it was not [serious] and my symptoms have already recovered. I regret not being able to participate in the memorable tournament of All Japan Wrestling this time, but I would be grateful if I could recover my body and participate again if I had the opportunity. I’m sorry.
Fujinami was inducted into the Japan Wrestling Hall Of Fame in September along with the likes of Giant Baba, Antonio Inoki and Riki Choshu.
