IMPACT grants Acey Romero his release.
It was first reported by Jon Alba that Acey Romero had been granted his release from IMPACT Wrestling. Romero took to social media and confirmed the news. He issued a statement and noted that this is a situation he never wanted to come to fruition.
Romero thanked all involved with IMPACT including Larry D who he was paired with on-screen for a number of months. Romero was last in action on IMPACT programing on their ‘Before The IMPACT’ show in May.

In late August, it was reported by Fightful Select that Acey Romero requested his release from the company. He hadn’t been used since the April tapings. In early May, he was dealing with the affects of COVID-19 but went on to recover.
